The Sync Tool keeps your strings up to date with a spreadsheet. It helps manage the localization process when working with translators or other developers. You are able to sync with
Importing from a spreadsheet will sync with the spreadsheet you pull in to LE. You can clear the spreadsheet you are syncing with at any time by going to Localization Editor→Clear Sync Settings.
If you haven’t already authenticated with your Google account, you will be prompted to do that first. If you have already authenticated you can skip this section.
Authenticating with Google
Click “Go to Google Authenticate URL.” The google authenticate prompt should open in your browser.
Grant Access to Localization Editor. The google authenticate will ask you to grant access to your files. Click Accept to continue the authentication process.
Copy the access code from your browser and paste it into Set LE Access Code window.
Sync with an Existing Google Sheet
Choose Existing Google Spreadsheet. Select the spreadsheet you would like to sync with, then click Sync. LE will remember the spreadsheet you have chosen to sync with.
Sync with a New Google Sheet
If you have not synced to a spreadsheet before, the New Local File and New Google Spreadsheet buttons export your local languages to a spreadsheet and then find differences between the two, which results in no differences being detected. This is used for the first time syncing if you have added strings and languages all within the LE Editor and not imported from a sheet before. This creates a master copy to sync with.
Choose New Google Spreasheet. Enter the title of the new spreadsheet, then click Sync. LE will remember the spreadsheet you have chosen to sync with.
